inspired by: Miu Miu FW 2007 ready-to-wear campaign
When speaking about the Miu Miu FW 2007 ready-to-wear collection, Prada called this show a “vision of what’s happening in the world right now with women”, implying plastic surgery, botox, and filler, which were already prominent at the time.
⠀
On a first glance, the collection presents everything you’d expect from Prada. However, looking deeper, one starts to notice the various silhouette-modifications and intentional use of materials that Prada uses to explore a “plasticised” version of a woman.
⠀
This is also reflected in the campaign, where the model is twisted and turned into unnatural poses and angles — almost like a Barbie doll, flaunting the clothing she’s dressed up into.
