inspired by: Prada SS 2009 ready-to-wear campaign
Perhaps most known for its controversial high heels that caused several falls on the runway, this show presents a consistent creative direction that investigates sexuality.
The garments featured crinkled fabrics, disheveled layering, and messily-tied contrasting ribbons, exploring a version of femininity that borders on eroticism. The sky-high heels play a part in this, alluding to stereotypical depictions of femininity in fashion and broader culture.

In part, this collection is a return to Prada’s version of the 50s, a time of her youth and greater freedom — an innocent discovery of sexuality through dress.
