If there was one word to describe Dolce & Gabbana SS2001 show, it would be iconic. This show is one of my personal favourites, with plenty of amazing garments that we can appreciate to this day.

One such garment is these flared jeans with ripped slits held together by numerous safety pins — as featured on the runway in multiple versions. Their rebellious attitude is complemented by purple shades of dye spilled all over the fabric.

The jeans sit lower on the waist. The denim is stretchy enough to ensure optimal fit, but rigid enough to not be pulled apart by the pins.
