Galliano 2010s multi-coloured vest with sequins and embroidery

Theatricism and excess are common themes in Galliano’s designs, and this is something that we can especially see in the brand’s runway shows of the years 2009 and 2010. In his FW2009 and FW2010 collections, Galliano draws from folkloric costume, employing embroidery, applique and various textures to produce fairytale-like looks.

With this vest, Galliano transforms a formal suiting garment into a dreamy statement piece, adorning it with beads, lace and embroidery. Pinstripe is combined with lace applique, while the iconic newspaper print lines the inside of the vest.
